We are actively preparing "Boots on the Ground" missions to the 10-40 Window and we are researching unreached people groups to determine what must be done to get the Gospel message to them. In order to reach the unreached, we will need human and financial resources. Not everyone will be able to physically go to these areas, but all who have a desire can participate in a meaningful way through prayer, financial support, logistical support, material support and sharing knowledge and wisdom with those to be sent.
This program will involve asking families to prayerfully consider being a part of "50/50 for the 10 40." We will strive to encourage 50 Fox Creek families to commit to giving $50 per month for the next twelve months to cover the substantial expense it will require to go and send to the ends of the earth.
This is above normal tithe, this is sacrificial giving, but it is attainable for many. The economic impact on this is in essence skipping one family meal in a restaurant per month. It will be recommended that any family taking part in this program gather around their home dinner table and take one evening meal per month to specifically pray over the people we will serve and the servants who will go to them.
If 50 families participate, over the course of a year this will raise $30,000. These funds can go toward ministry in the 10-40 Window. At the current average church giving in America, with 7 cents of every $100 making it to the unreached, it takes about $43,000,000 to get to $30,000. This will be an opportunity to begin to balance what has been a horrifically unbalanced approach to reaching the unreached.
This will enable us to equip and send members of our own congregation as well as support workers in countries that are already striving toward reaching the nations. We will collect information from each family that wishes to participate. This is not because we want to hold their feet to the fire and make sure they pay up. Rather this is for the purpose of praying over those who make an intentional step toward fulfilling the Great Commission. One thing that is certain is that Satan hates it when we obey Jesus' commands. When a family "signs on the dotted line," so to speak, they are getting out of the stands and stepping onto the field of battle. Adversity will be headed their way and we want to be praying that all who fight for the heart of our King will be able to persevere.
If we couple this concept with the 3-2-1 Initiative, we will be able to send younger and older out of our own congregation as we develop the next generation of Disciple-Makers capable of reaching the ends of the earth.
